Professional Identity Scale for Library and Information Professionals
Dear LIS Professional,
We are inviting to participate in this study as an early career Library and Information Science (LIS) professional. This research project is designed to develop and validate a professional identity scale for LIS professionals.
If you are in your first 10 years of your professional practice in LIS field following your latest degree (undergraduate or higher) in LIS. We recognize that the name of your academic program may vary across countries - for example, Information Science and Knowledge Studies, Information Management, or Documentation Sciences. Therefore, you can take part in this study, even if your academic program had a different name.
Upon completion you will have the opportunity to participate in a drawing for an American Library Association Membership for one year. Two (2) participants will be randomly selected. The chance of winning is about 1 in 500. The questionnaire should take about 15 minutes to complete and will close on December 1, 2025.
Follow this link to the Survey: https://go.uncg.edu/intscale
The results of the study may be published or presented at professional meetings.
We will be happy to answer any questions you have about the study. You may contact Dr. Oguz at f_oguz@uncg.edu or Dr. Gala at bhakti.gala@cug.ac.in
Sincerely,
Fatih Oguz | University of North Carolina at Greensboro
