as per wikipedia information (qn no.7) "Science Abstracts was the result of a joint collaboration between the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and The Physical Society of London". Hence A is the correct answer.

In its raw form the word refers to either a newspaper of records or a public journal. To gazette means to publish something in the gazette.
