Sir,
With humble request, I have to submit that the librarians in the schools, like Navodaya and KVs get 4600-0 grade pay at present and there is no any promotion for them. They are not eligibile to appear in any departmental examinations, and they have to work throughout the service on the same post. As per the norms of CBSE there should be minimum 3 employees in the library at school level, out of which one should be at PGT grade, but presently there is only one librarian at TGT grade. Sir think over the matter sympathetically and upgrade the grade pay of school librarians.

This matter should be raised by our Professional association but unfortunately they are sleeping and ย not functioning properly.
They are busy in organizing conferences and Tea Samosa party. ย They do not have much time for these types of silly matters.

I think we should stop asking for anything on "sympathetic" or "compassionate" grounds. ย We should ask for whatever is "rightfully" ours. So friends stop pleading and start fighting for our "adhikar (right)".
Dear Professional all above are right but there is no any platform of librarian to such type of matter The association of KVS ,JNV and sunch type of, ย should take initiate for this matter.
KVS aur NVS me employee associations ekdam bekar aur power less hai...... ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย aur teachers ย Librarian ki baat to vaise bhi nahi karte.
All the initiatives should be taken by Indian Library Associationย but unfortunately they are sleepingย
siddu ji,ย we should politely raise our matter, fighting is lost option, and one can not fight unless there is strong association. let us do our job, we should live in present scenario.
In this condition, there is a need to be united by all the SCHOOL LIBRARIANS whether they BELONGS TO any organizations ie KVS, NVS, or ANY OTHER SCHOOLS and we should make an association of school librarians
Dear All,
After reading the threads regarding the 7th pay commission and pay scale for Librarian, I would like to brief you that All India Kendriya Vidyalaya Teachers's Association (AIKVTA) has already submitted a nicely written representation to the Chairmen of 7th CPC and HRD for KV Librarians and teachers also. Is was submitted through proper channel and hearing is possible soon. AIKVTA is service association it did it's duty, now the professional association should submit the same, for that you may get in touch with ILA/IASLIC ย or any other where school librarians are majority in terms of numbers of members but they are just mute vote bank.
Regarding KV Library I would like to mention that a post of Library assistant is sanctioned in all KV where 3 sections are there and books are more than 7000. It wil take it's own course of time to recruit a permanent one.
