I have used DSpace for News Paper Clippings. See 27 examples at http://dspace.cusat.ac.in/jspui/

Community name Cusat News. Also read an article on Newspaper archiving using DSpace in cusat digital library. I think we must write the name of the paper, date and page on the clipping before we scan it so that those who download can easily get reference.
