There are diverse views on this. Legally speaking, it is a violation of intellectual property rights, or piracy.

These days lots of options are there to access articles behind paywall from sites you have mentioned or from sites like:

The Pirate Bay: https://thepiratebay.org

Open Access Button: https://openaccessbutton.org

In Twitter: #ICanHazPDF

and so on.
