Mam, 

As well as I am aware we are treated as Non-Vocational teaching staff member. Who has coined this term and what is the purpose behind is still not clear. 

It is also matter of case to case basis. For example, All Librarians of Army Public Schools in India are getting full summer vacations as equivalent to teachers. 

The manual prepared by CBSE for Libraries is old and must be revised. Till that we can't do anything.

Same here working with G.D goenka public school.As per CBSE guidelines school librarian s comes under non teaching staff. Here we hardly get 10 days vacations.

But I don't think there is any cbse guidelines for vacations.

All staffs have summer vacation.
All schools are same rules.

Mam,
I am working in APS. I am also under Non-Vocational Staff. there is no holidays for library staff.
we are under ADM Staff so we have to do our duty for 8 hours means From 7:20am to 3:30pm

 Non -teaching staff get EL of summer vacation. Teaching staff didn't get EL of summer vacation.

Dear Ma'am

I always had been taken the summer and winter vacation in 1998 to 2008 in school and also Now I get summer and winter vacation in college. depend on you how you are going treat with your boss. Everything is depend on your boss.
