School Librarian comes under Teaching as per the Affiliation by Laws 2018 of CBSE Rule

Affiliation by Laws 2018

If we check appendix VII : Qualification and other details for Teachers -- Page 58 - 68

By seeing the document on Rightย  we can say that the Librarian of school also act as Vocational Teacher for library subject.ย 

so, its clear a Librarian in School is Teaching staff, and enjoys all the facilities of Teacher.

In goa we are considered as non teaching staff. How we will able to bring uniformity in all states regarding status of school librarian . We are also recruited on contract basis for 10 months i.e from june to March from last five years. And state government not ready to make us permanent.

Yes, School Librarian comes under teaching staff...in all CBSE or ICSE board School ex. NVS, KVS, DSSB etc. evenย  designation is also written as TGT Library Science (Trained Graduate Teacher) in place of Librarian in NVS, and TGT Librarian in KVS.ย

Yes In CBSE Schools a Librarian should be treated as a Teacher.

School librarians are teaching staff. Is there any CBSE or Govt GR
