what is the clear meaning of open data policy in our country? pl.explain

Dear Madam,

Please follow the link given below and read will clear your queries.

https://data.gov.in/

thanks...

Open data website: 'https://factly.in' analyses AICTE's website to unearth " 50,000 ‘duplicate’ teacher names exist on the rolls of more than one college"

for more news read:

Sir,

Thanks for the same.

We are all aware about the internet, social media's merits and demerits, but here (www.lislinks.com) we are using for good professional purposes. Same thing I would implicate for open data. Duplication of data in database we can know that how it happens. It means, not that there are no scopes of database.

I recommended that website to know the entire phenomenon related to forum topic. If professional/colleagues can read more sources then it would be better.

But the post/link provided by you is not related to this forum. It may divert our forum to other topics, such as administration, IT skills, database, migration techniques, qualification of data analyst/officer, current competencies, media of communication, and new coverage, public reaction, e-governance, media management etc.

Sir, the point raised by you is very vast we will come on these issues to discuss later on.

Thanking you…

Dear Munesh,

I hope you understand the difference between data and information. Open data means sharing of data, statistical facts etc. for the purpose of research, analysis or anything else.

RTI is for sharing of government information and that comes under freedom of information.

There is no relation between RTI and Open Data.

Dear Shekhar Rai,

Is there anything to tell/add on this toic from your end? if yes please tell because I have not shared this post to know the definitions of the terms used here.

The relation between two different objects can be given after only analyzing the roots and stems of both the subjects. As I know.

Thanks for your comments and sharing the Information, which you have you have on open data and RTI.

Dear Munesh,

Open data is for the Government of India to upload on the WWW, maximum data that is available in its records.

Where as RTI is an instrument that fosters Freedom of Information amongst individuals.

It should result in minimizing the no. of RTI applications as most of the things are now availbale on the WWW before hand, so people should check before filing an RTI.

Dear Rai,

It's correct, what you have suggested that people should check for the information available online before choosing RTI to get the same.
