FIRST MOBILE LIBRARY

The First Mobile Library was started in India at Melavasal Village, Mannarkudi Taluk, Thiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu. By S.V. Kanagasabai Pillai, It was inaugurated Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, The Father of Library Science on 21st October 1931.
