Different Accession No. for Procured Books and Donated Books

Dear forum members,

Is it necessary  to maintain separate Acc. registers for purchased books and donated books in the library.

If so, which no. may be given to identify the copy of  same donated book, which is in sequential order of

main Acc. register. Please clarify my doubt.

No need to maintain  separate Accession Register for Donated/Gifted books. Accession registered show our total no of  books in our  library. U can write (Donated) in source of books column. Need not  write price in  price column. i am maintaining my Library  Accession register like this.

its depend on us how we want maintain our accession register.

But in specimen record  u should maintain separate.
