In Karnataka there is a similar situation, for teaching faculty Who have done MPhil get one advance increment, but for us no increment....

in gujarat gov decided to NO recruit in present and future for MPHIL. so it is totally in justice.

Dear Harshal,
I am agree with you, Not is Gujarat only, in other state no value of lis professionals. In private sector situation is very bad. As-private medical colleges. Recruitment time they want very highly qualifications but they don't give high salary. Govt. of India only see own lis staff. ILA must take action for this and communicate with Govt. of India and other state Govt's for this.

sir U r right but as a MLISC student i don't want High salary i just want only 3500 to 5500 at starting level. but If u listen when i am saying now a sentence Our degree is sold out in market. One homeopath collage purchase a man and he/she geting 10000 p.m. and doing other business. when on behalf of Librarian 18 to 15 yr's GIRLS are handling library without degree / knowledge.

SHOCKED!! 

this is reality. like Pharmacists. One nursing collage rajkot offering 1500 rs per month and wish MLISC + Net.

Ha ha ha.. What a Joke sir...U know we Have to come togather on one satge otherwise private Uni/collages

will drink us.

Same story every where, basically people have a perception that librarians have no work or very simple work. If its is so why is the timings more than faculty. Academic Librarian is even worse than a clerk. If librarian is consider as non teaching , their timings are more than faculty and they are not given vacations then y they are give libray periods to manage a whole calss of 50 students. We all are doing discussions but what actuallyexactly can be done nothing....................

Dear Harshal Anjaria,

When a person have a wealth of knowledge have not to worry about the future. Only he has to passed through the hard time with the passion and get the minimum experience in their respective job field.

Library profession is a profession of the knowledge. We have not depressed with-in our hard time of the  period. Opportunity is wide only person have to try and try until he get their goal, and for that do not stay more then three year at one place of job.Vacancies are their only person have to try with the full of confidence and applied the experience at the time of an interview. Be ready to do the job at any place of the country, and definitely person will achieved the Goal at after shifting of the job places at last, but not with-in the entry level.

please do not compared library professional with other job, only with the criteria of the salary. they are at their level and do their job. We are at our level and do the job with the knowledge sharing.

U R RIGHT SIR BUT IF ANY ONE FRESHER GO FOR INTERVIEW HE MUST GET 50 RS PER DAY AS A 

LABOUR. IF ONE CART MAN CAN EARN 40 TO 80 RS PER DAY WHY LIBRARIAN SALARY IS 50 RS TO 150 RS PER DAY?

I AM NOT SAYING THAT IN STARTING THE INSTITUTE HAS TO PAY 3000 PER MONTH. BUT THE SALARY 

THEY SPOKE WHICH ANY ONE CAN EAR'S LIKE. ...LIKE 2000, 2500, 3000 BY chipak ke rahena in one institute should grow salary. my friend is doing job in academic library  in JAMNAGAR city, gujarat science last 7 years

his salary is still 7000/-. then he has no choice either change colllage.

Everyone is expressing their views. I am asking what is to be done. kya karna hai how we could be united. what steps shall we take. Can we all meet and make a group and go to some emplouer to upgrade librarians status.. NO. So what is tobe done. This ithe situation because we accept this situation.

step one. 

1. khud ko andar se jagrup kaRna ki main chahe dusara nukri ya business karunga lekin 50 rs per day main job nahi karunga/karungi.

2.sab ka facebook a/c comp. and orkut pe bhi.

3. sab se pahele ak blog all india hona chaiye.

4. localized  networking mazboot karna chaiye.

5.Abhiman chodna chiye ke main to PHD...main asso ka president hu..aisa nahi.

6.localized asso banane ke bad ak press note/ facebook, tv ad, cable ad se fund jama karkr  all state meeting

ya conferance karna chiye.

7. seminars main log eekatha hote hi hain to kyu na sab apane apane mails id formed kare.

8.main alag hu sanstha alag hain ye samaj kar sastha ko ish bare main debets main nahi lana hain ki 

hum log salary aur apane hukk ke liye lad rahe hain.

9.jyada badi advt dene ki bazaye social networks accha rahega

10.ugc documents avidance ke sath agar sub mann jaye to hamari tarah GUJARAT HIGHCOURT nain hum gaye

Aise gov recruitment aur UGC guidline ka Strik palan ho aisa RIT karna hoga.

11.LIS links ke sath touch main re kear views share karna chaiye.
