madam , u raise the important issue relating toย mutilationย ofย libraryย books,which is a serious issue like a country in India, becoz the govt and private sector libraries management think books are as articles, if they damage, we have to responsible,so we need to pay ย the amount or replace the book when we transfer or retire.This is the situation in all type of libraries.

I agree with you. The post of Librarian is a dignified one. If you go through the Universities Handbook, you will find Librarian along with the Vice-chancellor and Registrar of the University. We should not let down our profession
