Dear Sir/Madam,

LisLinks is a richer platform where professional meets on their similar interest. In the continuation of this statement, I would like to raise an issue related to purchase in current.

Now online shopping has become buzz concept and a new kind of market place to sell and buying a product. I would like to know which kind policy you follow in buying items (may be) book, stationery, etc. for your Library/Organization?

If, you have bought or done the online shopping earlier for your official purpose, please share your views with points which you have followed.

Thanking You.

We purchase books online rarely, Mostly we get books through vendors,, at a  better discount.  Books,   CD’s or Question Banks which could be got only through online alone we do online orders. As ours is an international School, we have to buy some Books or question banks through IB store https://store.ibo.org/ Store .According to our institution policy, the requirement list after adding to the cart –invoice should be approved by the Principal, later with the help of accounts department; online orders will be made through the institution debit card. We have a limit according to our Budget, Accordingly, the selection and orders will be placed.

Dear Madam,

your comments are complementary to all the previous comments. Here, you have added some terminologies of online shopping, such as cart, online store, debit card, selection of item etc.

In case of shopping, online is not exactly means, we experience with Facebook, twitter etc. The practice of online shopping is nothing but choosing a item and filling a set of data input from from a website. It does not provides a link to negotiate or discount or pay later after after adding in to the library collections.

Thanking you...

Dear Mr. Munesh,

Some website do offer the pay later and negotiation if order is considerable amount, I have experience of some foreign publication and societies also they will offer payments methods through Wire transfer, Cheque, and cards. very often I prefer to pay Via Wire transfer it is secure and audit-able by accounts Dept. only thing you have to do is utilize your Knowledge and experience.

Dear Sir,

Since you have very nice and informative knowledge and experience, please share with us by putting more light on this topic. I would like to know the sources, name of agencies those gives the right to negotiate than the prices mentioned in their website. It will be really good practical for us. I know about the payment method via, cheque, DD, COD and Cards etc. Even many website have restrictions on size of order.

As per my knowledge concern audit authority never encourage to anyone to pay in advance, without checking the quality of product. It's our profession library science has this type of practice that paying in advance and taking services later.

Thanking You...
