Objective of the seminar:

Libraries, the world over, have been witnessing an average increase of about 3 to 5% in the acquisition cost of electronic resources (e-books, e-journals, databases, etc.). Since there is hardly any increase in the annual library budgets, the institutions are forced to reduce the number of resources leading to loss of access to scholarly content by the academic community. Due to disparity in funding patterns of institutional libraries, equitable access to knowledge remains a distant dream.
