In Memory of Dr. Ayyanar – A Personal Appeal for Family Support
Dear LIS Professionals and Friends,
It is with profound sadness that I share the untimely passing of Dr. Ayyanar, M.L.I.Sc., Ph.D., TNSET, UGC-NTA NET, a young LIS professional and a dear friend who was like a brother to many of us. He passed away on 17 July 2026 due to an accidental electric shock.
Dr. Ayyanar was the only son of his parents, a loving husband, and a devoted father to his three-year-old daughter. His sudden and tragic demise has left his family heartbroken and facing an unimaginably difficult time.
This appeal is entirely my personal initiative to extend support to Dr. Ayyanar's family. They have not requested any financial assistance. However, I believe that, as members of the LIS community, we can come together to offer our support and solidarity during this challenging period.
If you wish to help, any contribution—regardless of the amount—will be sincerely appreciated and will provide meaningful assistance to his bereaved family.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. May the Almighty grant strength and comfort to his family, and may Dr. Ayyanar's soul rest in eternal peace.
