International Association of School Librarianship (IASL)
Dear all Library Professionals,
This is very enthusiastic to see many people stand together and like to do something more for the development of school libraries.
Those who are still thinking on standing together under the umbrella of IASL, kindly take our decision and mail me for any doubt or query.
IASL provide an international forum for people interested in promoting effective school library programs as viable instruments in the educational process. IASL also provides guidance and advice for the development of school library programs and the school library profession. IASL works in cooperation with other professional associations and agencies.Its membership is worldwide, and includes school librarians, teachers, librarians, library advisers, consultants, educational administrators, and others who are responsible for library and information services in schools. The membership also includes professors and instructors in universities and colleges where there are programmes for school librarians, and students who are undertaking such programmes. I will update you with all new happenings in of IASL in India, where we can join hands, sit together and can organize programs, events, workshops and conferences for betterment of school libraries.
