Dear Professionals, I want to know that what is minimum percentage required in Blib.
for the post of Assistant professor in library science

Qualification Criteria for ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:
i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masterโs Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.ย
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or fulfilling the conditions as laid down by the University (Annexure-IV) may be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in the University.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
Thanx Mam ,I want to know whether Percentage in Blib. matters or not in selection,if it is , then what should be required minimum percentage in blib.
It should be altogether. There is no concept of separation as BLIS and MLIS.

if one have percentage in Blib. 50-55 % and in Mlib. 55% , then he is eligible for the post of Assistant Professor or not ?ย
also B.A. percentage counted or nopt,Sir please tell me if you have any information regarding this,it is urgent.
B.li.sc degree is not sufficient qualification for Asst.Professsor post
right sir ,but my point was whether Blib. percentage has any weightage or not after mlib , Mphil. , NET etc. higher qualifications
