How to Import Data from Libsys to Koha

Hi Team,

How can I Import data from Libsy to (MARC21, CSV, Excel, Access) or any data type which I can use with Koha Library automation software.

Importing data from libsys is little difficult. libsys people lock the data . so you have to take the assistance of the ย technical person. we faced same problem .we discontinued libsys because of AMC. ย but NIC people helped us to import data from libsys to egranthlaya. u take help of compter persons

are you using E-granthalya? i would like to shift our proprietory software to free source. i am in search of best one. is it possible to do circulation via egranthalay? will you suggest the pros and corns it will help me to choose the software. the following is my email id

yes madam, we are using egrantalaya for last 5 years. its good software user friendly. we keep on suggestingย ย  to incorporateย  some new changes in the new version also. and NICย  does customisation for our library. in all itsย  its aย  good soft ware which satisfies our needs.

Make use of report facility in libsys and download your collection data in excel/csv format. You can then convert this data into mark format and import it in standard s/w like koha, soul etc. Similarly you can do for patron data also.
