National Mission on Libraries

I am pleased to inform that the National Mission on Libraries has been set up by the Govt. of India. The Gazette Notification containing the composition of the Mission and its terms of reference has been issued. Prof Deepak Pental former Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi is the Chairman of the Mission. The Mission will take up certain developmental projects in the library sector. The working Groups are being set up for this purpose.
