Ha! you indulged yourself into 'Chicken-Egg' problem. Opining on this is not really hard. We the library professionals know very well the post of Librarian should be treated as teachers. UGC (Six Pay Commission) has already recognized this subtly.Though in the state level, the psychological framework of the teaching faculties are so consolidated they are not in a mood to recognize this.

Right thing for teachers of Library and information Science 

Librarian's post is teaching because qualification ,pay scale & other norms of UGC are same as the as teaching faculty

actually it is all about mind set as far as I'm concern. Most of the people thought that librarian has no work to do only issue and return work but librarian is beyond this.............

Private colleges/ institutions are already well know about Librarian is Teacher as per U G C norms. If follow U G C rules results to highlevel salary pay to the Librarians.The above groups are not like this.
