WAYS TO PROVE OURSELF BEST IN THE FIELD "LIS"

Dear professionals,

Though we are enjoying the status equal to that of teaching staff but we do not receive the respect from students as we compare it to  the Teaching staff..How many of you agree with this?Tell me the ways to prove ourself best in the field.

Siddhartha sir,

With all humility and due respect, I have the following submissions to make w.r.t your hypothetical question on “choice of bridegrooms”. I apologise for being late.

Well, I agree that a Lecturer and Librarian have different Social Recognitions.  But Societal Recognition and Societal Respect are two different aspects.   A person who is recognized in a society is not necessarily respected or liked i.e., Recognition does not automatically confer Respect. A person in a society may be recognized for his notoriety too! Also, I know several Lecturers, Readers, Professors who though are socially recognized, are equally despised by the society (neighbours and social circle) for their arrogance and haughty attitude.  Therefore, in my opinion a person is respected by the society for his virtues like good behavior, helpfulness, ability to socialize, reliability, trust worthiness and so on so forth and not for his degree alone. Hence, these are the qualities that a father should look for in a prospective groom and not his degree

Basing our judgment on a premise that just because a person is a lecturer, he/she is socially recognized and hence commands more respect than the librarian and hence is a right match for a daughter is wrong.  This is what my opinion is
