This is a very good question you have asked.Â
Librarians are considered as non-teaching staff in all schools and colleges while they are officially part of the teaching staff. This is the main reason why most of us do not get summer vacations.
I seek your help in collecting relevant official notifications and UGC rule book. We need to collectively bring this point to the notice of the concerned authorities after collating sufficient evidence.Â
I look forward to your cooperation in this regard since it is not just my problem, but a matter of relevance to every librarian in our country.Â
Let us bring about this change in attitude and work culture, together.
