I am Pradip Kumar Singha, Research Scholar in the Department of LISc, Assam University Silchar, under the supervision of Dr. Nabin Chandra Dey, Asst Prof in the DLISc, Assam University, Silchar. The community services by Academic Libraries towards the nearby locality is essential as well as regarded a social responsibility for the development of the community, in this connection academic libraries are more relevant and prominent centres to communicate with the locality and uplifting them.
