is it really implemeted in future

When it was published sir today or any other day news?

Well I feel it is a welcome decision, because all NET passed candidates will get some consolation for their work done and quality will prevail in our field.

regards

vijay

Yes Sir, You are right. Good Decision by SCI and GOI

While NET candidates "will get some consolation", MPhil candidates will become desolate by this decision.
As far as "quality", I don't think it will make a big difference, taking into consideration the fallen standards of both NET and MPhil.
The authorities should also stop speaking different tongues at different times as it reeks of suspicion of favoring certain students at certain times.

Yes Sir, You are right. Good Decision

Very good................ but quality of research will definitely affected

this is the best decision and will promote and introdue the right person in the profession.

This is not a correct decision also there is no meaning for studying M.Phil & Ph.D.

once if entered these courses (M.Phil & Ph.D) then only feel how many difficulties are completing these course?

what is the use of course M.Phil & Ph.D conducting in all over india?

if NET sufficient for Asst Prof means what about M.Phil & Ph.D?

how they will teach deeply & properly to students with MLIS qualification with NET?

we can try and quality NET for additional qualification also for getting Job?

this is not important to top level post, only higher education with experiences with publications and so on.

so you can try to qualify NET for getting job or promotion but not important for Top Level post

this is my opinion

This decision is taken too late. It could have been taken Six years ago. The Only thing is that, either government or UGC, both are playing with candidates. They change rules and policies as and when, they want. Neither NET nor PhD is under quality.

This days getting Phd is very easy by paying money and getting adjustment with the guide. I thing UGC is going to make a good thing by making NET or SET, SLET compulsary. By this will get a real professionals.

dear (KIRAN SUHAS N) sir,

you are telling this time getting phd easy for paying money but i never accept this our statement because some peoples are doing all over india like our statement but not for all LIS Professionals, simply criticizing to all guides means there is no meaning of this discussion,

because most of them qualified NET but not getting job, still searching good positions this is the situation now,

Note:

1. Now PHD, Initially the candidate has to qualify the course work first one year then only giving confirmation about phd registration.

2. Every six months once has to sent progress report or yearly once conducting doctoral committee, this time asking about phd progress status

3. some universities conducting Pre-Viva voce before submitting synopsis like main viva voce this time candidates has to qualify this viva voce, here senior most professors coming from different discipline from studying university, asking questions more, if not satisfied their presentation means very difficult to submit synopsis, here asking about publications, paper presentations, any short time training programme related to phd, participation of seminars/conferences/workshops, data collection method, and so on. they are checking contributions about phd research work after your phd registrations, otherwise very difficult to move other stage,

So please don't  say easily for giving money getting degree of PhD is not possible to all over indian universities, may be few cases like our statement but not for all, because now UGC instructions is very strick.
