Informatics Studies: Invitation to Contribute Papers
Informatics Studies is an international journal published by the Centre for Informatics Research and Development (CIRD), with the aim of functioning as a dais to discuss emerging trends in the theories and the applications in the field of Information Science.
The journal focuses on Information Infrastructures, Information Economics, Knowledge Management, Digital Library/Archive, Unicode, Multi- lingual and Interoperable Issues, Thesauri, Ontology, Semantics, Metadata, Information Retrieval, Resources Discovery Solutions, Open Access Initiatives, e-publishing, IPR, Setting of Service Quality Standards, Bioinformatics, Development Informatics, Community Informatics, Social Informatics, Environmental Informatics, Medical Informatics, Computational Linguistics, as well as interdisciplinary and international perspectives on the above areas.
To harness the enormous possibilities offered by the new age ICT, many challenges are to be addressed by the LIS profession. Managing knowledge resources and narrowing the digital divide especially with numerous languages, scripts, etc are some among them and therefore, areas like language technology needs special attention. Informatics Studies also focuses on certain areas of concern to Asian and African countries.
Informatics Studies has brought out Special Volumes and Issue on personalities such as Ranganathan, Eugene Garfield, Stephen Hawking, etc and Subjects such as Agricultural Informatics, Social Informatics, OA, etc. Informatics Studies is a peer-reviewed journal with ISSN: 2320-530x and is in its ninth year of publication.
We invite research papers for publication in Informatics Studies for publishing in the year 2021. Author guidelines are available at informaticsstudies.in. Papers can be uploaded at informaticsstudies.in or can be send to:editor@informaticsstudies.in as per the standards prescribed in the journal website.
