Finally Assamese is Included in Google Translate on 11th May, 2022

Google on Wednesday, 11th May, 2022 announced at their I/O developer’s conference that it has added 24 new languages to Google Translate. Out of these 24 new additions, eight languages are from India and they are Assamese, Bhojpuri, Dogri, Konkani, Maithili, Mizo and Meiteilon (Manipuri) and much demanded Sanskrit. That’s a great piece of news to celebrate by all Assamese people residing across the globe. As per Google estimates, Assamese is used by about 25 million people in Northeast India.
