teachers of library science are basically hater of librarians. they do not want any status of the librarian especially in west bengal.

Sir I think you are terribly mistaken? If so ultimately it will be like, a cook hates whatever he makes, isn’t it?  So who do you think messing all this up?

If whatever you wrote is actually happening in that particular area, those haters, whatever it may be should at least understand the meaning and responsibility of a teacher first. Leave it behind just try to understand what our culture instilling within us with the beautiful word GURU. I don’t need to lecture here with my silly knowledge, since the land mentioned here is still the land of Great Sons and Daughters of India.

Hope you are mistaken sir.

To Mr. Subeesh A C.

Yes I agree with you with more amendments ...

Respected Sir...

experiences are like treasure for everyone who have gone through a particular situation. but is that enough to criticize or abuse anyone only on the ground of behavioural output ?or it is needed to come ahead and sort out the problems.

Respected sir,

I am really sorry for my words above. It was neither towards you nor towards Asim Kumar Das Sir, but it was for those haters of Library Professionals. May be because of my language, you took it as a criticism, for that I am really ashamed of. Actually I presumed that , it was the LIS Teachers who mold a Library Professional at the beginning, so with the professional dignity alone they can not blame their products. But there are chances, as you mentioned might have created different opinions for different people.

Hope you understand my concerns and again sorry if it hurts any.

Sir

I admit with you a parampara of GURU and Shishya culture.  I have stated the attitude of the teachers  of our profession in the state of west Bengal. I do not want hurt any others. Last seventy years more, I am attached with a movement of the status of librarians in schools and colleges  in our state. I know,  a few states have status of librarians. I don’t know, our beloved teachers have raised their voice against this discrimination. You can do hurt anybody because we are enjoyed beautiful democracy. But I have pointed out the reality without any provocation where our beloved teachers are indifferent about their students.

Asim,  kolkata

Yes , There is urgent needs of integration of LIS teacher and Librarian to teach students for

future librarians. Some topics can be better explained by only experienced librarians and

some some topics can be better teach by Teachers. Some of the respected teachers of library

science never seen or visited or worked in reputed libraries and they do not know about

actual functioning of library. To give sound and real practical knowledge about automation and library functioning to the students, The lectures of experienced librarians should be arranged in library science departments. I think we should discuss only on role of librarians in the teaching department not on other comments given by members

Sir

I am agreed with you all respect. but unfortunately, the librarians are always adviced, what should be done  without considering their practical knowledge. this is our academic setup where the librarians have no right  say.
