The Library of Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur requires dynamic, tech- savvy, and committed fresh Masters in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities to serve as Library Professional Trainees purely on a temporary basis for one year.

Essential Qualifications |
Masters of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) or Equivalent from recognized Indian Universities with First Class and consistent good academic record. The applicant must have passed MLIS or equivalent examination either only in the year 2022 or 2023. However, those expecting the MLIS final marksheet as above by the day of the Interview may also apply. Candidates who passed the MLIS or equivalent examination before 2021 need not apply. |

The Library Professional Interns/Trainees will: 1. Work on different functions & services of the library using emerging tools and technologies in the field of Library & Information Science, and Knowledge related analytics; and 2. Have to work six days a week and be ready to work in different shifts and weekends/holidays, on a rotation basis. |

Selection Procedure |
Written Test, Trade Test & Personal Interview: The Institute reserves the right to conduct Written Test, Trade Test, and Interview, wherever the circumstances warrant or may fix criteria to restrict the number of candidates for Interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of minimum qualification or higher than those prescribed herein. No TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidates for appearing in the selection process. |

Proposed Remuneration |
A consolidated stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month. |

Leave and Medical Facilities |
Leave: 8 Days of Casual Leave in a Calendar Year Medical Facility: As per Institute’s norms. Selected candidates have to provide a documentary proof (receipt) of medical insurance of Rs. 1 Lakh or more for self, at the time of joining. |

- The candidates must be citizens of India.

Please note that a candidate can submit only one response and can not be modified after the final submission.
- Applications will be accepted till 15 September 2023, 5 pm.
- The candidates have to produce original documents at the time of joining.
- Incomplete applications will be rightly rejected.
- Application other than the prescribed form will not be entertained.
- Candidates who have appeared for their final year/semester MLIS examination and are expecting the results before the interview date may also apply but must produce the final marks sheet of MLIS at the time of the interview, in proof of having passed the examination with First Division.
- No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from the candidates regarding the conduct and result of the written test/interview and the reasons for not being called for the written test/interview.
- Institute reserve the right to:
- fix, modify or revise the eligibility conditions, age, and selection criteria as per its requirements, at any time.
- fill up the post, not to fill up the post or cancel the advertisement in whole or partly without assigning any reason.
- place a reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for the written test/interview.
