Wrting off Library materials especially for Govt/Public funded organizations involve certain complex and bureaucratic activities. In brief, you can follow the steps:
(a) Submit a proposal to competent authority for such activities with requisite explanations. (b) Explain ADVANTAGES as well as DISADVANTAGES (c) Prepare a detailed list with cost of each book. (d) Get WRITTEN APPROVAL from your Authority (it may be your Director/Principal, Governing Body or Board of Governors, as the case may be) (e) Never take any hasty step by yourself.
[In the Financial Rule book (of Central Govt.) there are rules for writing off Library books. Follow these rules]
