 anging rapidly. The library industry is now practically a web- based i
 ndustry. In the meantime, the library and information science  commun
 ities are on duty to meet  their knowledge  and information needs by
  using their mobile devices, which are serviced by commercial firms. T
 heir goal should be to ensure that knowledge is accessible, free, and 
 equitably preserved, as well as our cultural  and scientific heritage
   is  preserved. By providing a global  perspective on Information 
 Professionals in India, this international event aims to  provide a f
 orum for knowledge  and  skill  exchange.  I t will also provide a
  platform for presenting innovative  plans,  debating  classic  as
   well as new ideas, and facilitating close collaboration among parti
