I am using SOUL version 1.0 for last 4 years and already entered 33,000 bibliographic data along with departmental libraries (inter library loan). If you need any help then please send me a mail. I am always ready to help others for the betterment of our profession and professionals.

It would be very helpful if you please post the procedure for Broadband dialup connection configuration in Ubuntu. If you have already uploaded it elsewhere then please let me know. I have gone through the following links: http://kohageek.pbworks.com/w/page/28248118/FrontPage and found many useful tips and tricks.

One more thing is that did you experimented with the data conversion from SOUL to Koha? Data conversion is the main thing which may encourage many librarian to opt for Koha when they will found that their previous initiatives also be used in the new system.

Thanks.

Now I am very much satisfied with your plan and procedure. You are right that many people initially shows their interest in it and after few days they do not bother about it. I shall try your documentation and will send my feedback also. Best wishes for the coming year 2012.

With warm regards,

Raja Biswas.

This is the posting you made against my Koha documentation in MS Windows:

"Please don't promote Koha windows version.

It is outdated and try to use latest version of Koha with Linux.

You can find many live CD helpful for the easy installation of Koha in Linux.

http://kylehall.info/index.php/projects/koha/koha-virtual-appliance/

http://sourceforge.net/projects/liblivecd/ "

Today I received (from MLOSC) something interesting  that you have made a DVD which contains Ubuntu along with Koha 3.4. Nice initiative but why are you selling this as a product. You are a library professional and working on a open source. I should appreciate your initiatives if you let us know the easiest procedure of installing it in the existing Linus systems. You might be aware that Dr. P.S.Mukherjee (University of Burdwan, West Bengal) had already integrated Koha, DSpace, Greenstone, Joomla and lots more in a single Ubuntu DVD and already distributed hundreds of DVD free of cost (it was also freely distributed in the last NACLIN 2011 at Shantiniketan, West Bengal).

I would like to mention one more thing that Koha license had already seized from the Koha Community  (LibLime and then to PTFS) and applied for the trademark of it (detailed link for it: http://www.h-online.com/open/features/The-Koha-Saga-A-gift-that-keeps-giving-1386231.html). Distribution of LibLime Koha is also available. In these circumstances fate of Koha in Linux also very uncertain.
