Recruitment Notification for Library Information Assistant and Junior Library Information Assistant at IIT Hyderabad

Library Information Assistant

Essential:
i. First Class master’s degree in library science/information science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree.
ii. At least 3 years of professional experience in a Library in CFTI/State/Autonomous or statuary organization/PSU/ University or recognized research or educational Institution.
iii. Working knowledge of Library Management Software(s).
Desirable:
i. PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking/ PG Diploma Computer Applications in Library or equivalent
ii. Knowledge of the ILMS and the understanding of evolving Information and Communication
Technologies relevant to libraries.
Note: The appointee in the post is expected to perform his/her duties in shifts as per the Institute’s requirements

Junior Library Information Assistant

Essential:
i. First class Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & information Science with from a recognized University.
ii. At least 1 year of professional experience in a Library in CFTI/State/Autonomous or statuary
organization/PSU/University or recognized research or educational Institution.
iii. Need to work shift duties. Desirable:
i. PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking/ PG Diploma Computer Applications in Library or equivalent.
ii. Knowledge of the ILMS and the understanding of evolving Information and Communication Technologies relevant to libraries.
Note: The appointee in the post is expected to perform his/her duties in shifts as per the Institute’s requirements.
