Stipend: Monthly stipend of Rs. 9000/-(All inclusive)
1) Bachelor’s Degree (in Arts/Science/Commerce)
2) Degree in Library Science/ Library & Information Science with First Class.
3) Computer applications in library management and automation, will be preferred.
Age: 25 years
Apprenticeship Period: One Year
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide assistance, and guidance to library users
Data Entry for e-granthlaya Software.
Accessioning, Classification, and Cataloguing of resources
Technical processing (To paste the Spine labels, Due date slips, Sticker, tapes, Stamping, etc.)
Arrange books and periodicals on racks.
Answer reference queries.
Support in the acquisition of resources.
Assisting in collection development, recommending titles for purchase.
Performing on-line computer searches of the database.
Mode of selection: The selection for Apprenticeship Training will be done purely based on the PERCENTAGE OF MARKS secured in the qualifying examination as entered by the candidates in the Application Form & Interview.
