Engagement of Apprentices in Library and Information Science at ICSSR- NASSDOC, New Delhi for One Year 2025.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one-year Apprentice Training Program at National Social Science Documentation Centre (NASSDOC) of Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi as per the following details:

1. Candidates are required to apply through NATS 2.0 Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php) Apprenticeship advertisement ID: AADL240111179073.

2. The candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC category have to submit the certificate as per central government format, failing which their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only.

3. UPPER AGE Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years on date of publication of this advertisement (relaxable by five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates).

4. Last date to submit applications: 21 days from the date of advertisement in the NATS Portal.

5. The shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test consisting of multiple choice questions in Library and Information Science and Computer Skills. The candidate will also be required to appear for the practical computer skill test followed by interaction with experts.

6. Only Selected candidates will be informed through offer letter/ Email.

7. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training/Job in any institute/organization are not eligible.

8. It may be explicitly understood that subsequent to the training period, NASSDOC shall not offer any employment in the organization.

9. The period of training will be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of Apprenticeship.

10. Shortlisted candidates must bring all original relevant certificates at the time of verification/interview.

11. Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.

12. Enrolment under Apprentice Act 1961: It is mandatory for candidates to enrol themselves on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/index.php).

13. Only Unemployed SC and ST Category candidates will be reimbursed 2nd class sleeper rail fare/bus fare on production of the original tickets. They must also submit an undertaking regarding their unemployment.
