Friends our profession has changed a lot and is constantly under change. We all have seen that constant changes in librarianship, publishing industry, resources, and end-user perspectives due to various causes, have impacted our profession in many ways, which we need to address to prepare for future changes and demands. I strongly feel that visibility to the professionals and SLA is very important. Which can be achieved through networking, deliberating on issues of professional relevance, sharing practices, promoting professionals to attend conferences through awards and travel funds, etc.
