  Dr.GRD Memorial Library is looking forward to reviving the tradition of sharing and enriching the knowledge of young minds by creating a space where one can experience the treasure of knowledge.

     If there is one sure way to get students excited about something, it is the promise of time out of school! Field trips to the library will motivate the young students and will be an excellent opportunity to introduce students to libraries when they may never have been to one before. Learning the way libraries work and how to use the resources, set up membership etc. can encourage them to use the free resources that they may not have been aware of.

     In this connection to inculcate the habit of reading among the school children and make them aware of various resources in library and as a Corporate Social Responsibility, we would like to introduce a provision for all the school children in India to visit our library and spend about 3 hours with the strength of 30 students of 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th standards accompanied by an in-charge on all Second and Fourth Saturday. In addition, they can visit one major laboratory of the college.

The following are the norms to be followed for visiting the library.

  • The school should obtain a prior permission from the Principal of our institution 15 days before through   letter or mail.
  • Based on the confirmation from the institution, students can visit and logistics should be taken care of by the school  authorities.
  • Online form is available in our library website that has to be duly filled by the school authority and sent to the library 15 days prior.
  • Suitable hospitality can be extended by the college
