Distance education courses are not valid for West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC)

Dear Library professional,

I am BLISc degree holder of the world largest University (IGNOU) and MLISC(regulaer) from Jadavpur University(WB), I came to learn from a reliable source that WBCSC (West Bengal College Service Commission) has taken decision regarding the distance education. From now distance degree holder are no more eligible for lectureship for West Bengal base college neither they are not eligible to appear the SET (WB)examination . But the degree of IGNOU valid for all govt. job in India and out side Inida and equivalence to other regular university courses. My question is that any state have the power to disqualify the national level university?  Indian Rules and regulation  are not applicable in West Bengal? Please help me? What can I do now? I want discussed with IGNOU authority, please tell me to whom of IGNOU I have to contact in such situation? Is the IGNOU have nothing to do? I am hopeless Please help me with your valuable suggestions and guidance and proper way out to solve our (all the distance degree holder) problems?

HAVE YOU SEEN THE COPY OF DECISION?

I am trying to collect the copy of decision. Please Stay with me. If possible mail me hedayathossain@gmail.com so that I can contact with you later. I know the fact, some local news paper like " Kamakhetra" published the fact of their division "JINGASA".

U CAN USE RTI (RIGHT TO INFO ACT).

Dear Friend,

Please read the attached file it may be useful.  All the Library professional should support to stop this type of rules. All are students it may be regular, part-time, Distance, Open School only the quality should be maintained.

Thanks

NKManoj

Sorry! sir ....but your remarks are illogical . Ofcourse, IGNOU is an open university. Then why it is equal to other regular university. I believe IGNOU is even tougher . Every MLIS holder should be given opportunity to sit for EXAMS..................It is upto the candidate to show his caliber.
We are all facing problems like Mr. hedayat hussain.
i agree with you
I read all the discussion and we shud support Mr. hidayat Hussain, but no comparision between regular and distance courses it is also fact that distance course affect the quality of LIS education. I think it shud only for inservice professionals

Thanks Sir. Please Sty with me because we are  to face the problems.
