niranjan ji.

career in  library science  i think not very much bright reason behind it. that i  saw many colleges (managing commti )havent any need of librarian but student have need. but its , boundation regarding ugc that every college should  be a librarian. they said i have an graduate person who can  run library. maximum b.ed college librarian doing only clerical work in colleges. i think its very bad time for librarians.

today maximum colleges dont know importance of a librarian. they think only issue/return is the main work of  a librarian .they dont know importance of books and a librarian as well. our  professtional also doing these type of job . because govt havnt any proper planning for librarian. our coming lis pro. face tradgey regarding money matter. so brighting the future very first. ugc should take an action  regarding rules in colleges about libraryy...................

thank you mam.............I like to say ....

हाँ सच है

lis is a respectfull professtion.

buts its human nature( human apne chote se sawarth k liye apne  des ko bhi bech deta h).ye to lis h.

thank u mam

My dear friend if you are new comer in the LIS then you think 100 times to go further as a career in LIS because according to me career is not much bright then others.

thanks a lot sir

it is ok.

Sir,

The Library profession is not bright in future.. The basic need of the society is give the weightage  of the profession. Our society do not thinks that Library and Librarian is essential  to fulfill their basic need. So, in an organization namely college and its authority    do not give important to Library and Librarian. So, today Library is a neglected area in an organisation. only few person who have interest on knowledge , they understand the important of a librarian. Govt. rule and regulation also another factor to improve the status of library profession, because , the college librarian  of Assam is not recognized as   academic staff. So, college librarian of Assam does not have academic status.. so, other staff think that librarian is just like a clerk to assist other teaching staff by issuing and returning the books.  So,;it is most essential to change the rule and regulation of govt to frame out and  improve the status of the library profession. We have to frame out the govt rule and regulation which give certain power to librarian and in this way we can improve the status of library profession.

dear I share my personal experience in library work. I was too much help of students and teacher but after take the help with a minute they do not acknowledge our service. I felt this type in my working life about every day but unlike teachers.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience.. We library personal have to fight against our enemy and have to do lot of work to improve the profession to a status-full profession..  its only possible by the frame out some rule and regulation that give status to profession in our society, and advance course content designing with introduction of new technology..

Thank u sir ,

for ur nice explain to this topic.
