Event Description

Different educational institutes like; colleges and universities are progressively transitioning from traditional paper and microfilm to digital formats for the submission and dissemination of theses and dissertations. While this move from print-based to electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) greatly enhances the accessibility and sharing of student research, it also presents significant challenges for the academic libraries that must preserve this digital content.

The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in collaboration with AutherCafe is going to organize a Seminar on Electronic Theses & Dissertations (ETDs) Lifecycle Management on 30th January 2020 at the auditorium, CV Mess, IGNCA, New Delhi to promote best practices and to increase the capacity of academic libraries to consistently preserve ETDs.

AuthorCafe is a Knowledge Management Platform that facilitates academia for the creation, collaboration, review, dissemination and the administration of research content such as reports, theses, dissertations and grant proposals. The sessions during the seminar will offer ETD Lifecycle guidance and demonstration on management tools.
