Dear Sir/Madam,

 

You may be possibly aware that National Centre for Children’s Literature (NCCL) of the National Book Trust, India organizes brain storming sessions on regular basis which provide a vibrant and meaningful platform for promotion of reading habit and in the process facilitate a lively dialogue among the makers and promoters of children’s literature. Authors, illustrators, editors, publishers, researchers, librarians, teachers, parents, children and activists in the field of children’s literature- all those who have attended these meetings in the past have found it useful for their creative and intellectual growth.

 

The Theme of the New Delhi World Book Fair (15-23 February 2014) is Kathasagara: Celebrating Children's Literature and to culminate the occasion, we are holding several Panel Discussions in association with various partner organizations every day from 3.00-4.30 pm in the Theme Pavilion, Hall No. 7-E, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi as follows:

 

1. 15.02.2014    : Indian Children's Literature and Harikrishna Devsare (4.00-5.30 pm, NBT)

2. 16.02.2014    : Indian Children's Literature and Pulak Biswas (NBT)

3. 17.02.2014    : Issues in Contemporary Indian Children's Literature (AWIC & NBT)

4. 18.02.2014    : What Do Children Read? (Lekhika Sangh & NBT)

5. 19.02.2014    : Importance of Research and Networking in TYA (Assitej India & NBT)

6. 20.02.2014    : Children's Literature & Theatre for the Young Audience (Assitej India & NBT)

7. 21.02.2014    : Need for Classroom Libraries (Page-e & NBT)

8. 22.02.2014    : Children's Literature and Education (Bachpan Society & NBT)
